St. David’s United Church

 Continuing a vibrant tradition of Christmas Eve worship at St. David’s, we’ll offer two special services:

5:00     A service for children and youth that tells the story of Jesus’ birth with our  highly popular and always delightful ‘come as you are Christmas pageant.’             

10:00   Candles and carols and the meaning of Christmas
Event dates: December 24, 2008, 4:00 pm to 11:59 pm;

 Tuesday, December 9,  7:30 – 8:30pm. 

This reflective service of candles, music, prayers and poems offers breathing space in what can be a hectic and emotionally challenging season.  Stay after the service if you can for some Christmas (Advent?) cookies and hot cider by the fire.

Sunday, November 30th, 5 – 7 p.m. Come and celebrate the first Sunday of Advent with food, fun, crafts and music!  Make your own Advent wreath, make Christmas decorations for the Out of the Cold dinner, visit with friends and celebrate the Christian calendar’s New Year.  Sign up for this potluck supper event by calling Chrisin […]

Friday, April 11 

Junior Youth are invited to gather in the kitchen at St. David’s, 4:30-6, to make sandwiches for the North Shore Lookout Shelter. Bring a loaf or two of bread and enough prepared sandwich filling for the bread along with some favorite music!  We’ll reach out and catch up! RSVP to Colleen 604-922-3961

The Miller family have opened their Cowichan Lake home to host youth in grades 8-11 for a retreat.  Registrations will be mailed out shortly but please be in touch with Colleen as soon as possible if you would like to attend!

The Hunt family have once again very generously offered their Gabriola home for the grade 4-7 youth retreat.  Registrations will be sent in the mail but if for some reason you do not receive one, please be in touch with Colleen.  The deadline for registration is April 20th!
